Sailing Volunteers
VOLUNTEERING WITH OUR SAIL RACING PROGRAM
While RMYC employs professional qualified Race Officers (ROs) to manage our on water activities, our dedicated team of Volunteers are an important part of our race administration team. We have an extensive race program of some 150 events each year. Races are managed from the Charles Linnegar, the Club Committee Boat. Volunteers assist the RO in setting start and finish lines, starting races and recording finish time.
RMYC offers these benefits to Volunteers.
- The enjoyment of an evening or day on beautiful Pittwater
- The good company of friends on the Committee Boat
- RMYC ‘on the boat training’ as well as RMYC accreditation (it’s simple and easy)
- Refreshments on the Start Boat
- RMYC Volunteer Shirt
- Participation in the annual awards night at the RMYC
