Timber Boat Festival
Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 November
Join us to experience a collection of beautiful & unique wooden boats, set on the picturesque back drop of Pittwater.
Located at the Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay this event is raising funds for both Marine Rescue & the Skin Cancer Foundation.
There will be nautical displays, kiddies activities from ducky fishing, treasure hunts, art competition, a crafting corner, snow cones & free skin cancer checks from the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation Truck.
The event also features ‘the Duyfken’ courtesy of the National Maritime Museum.
The Duyfken is one of the rarest ships in the world, it is a full-scale reproduction of the original ship that was the first European contact with the Australian mainland & meeting between
the Indigenous people of Australia & Europeans, it predates James Cook’s voyage on Endeavour by 164years!
