The SROCP VFH course
Participants will gain: the ability to use correct marine radio operating procedures when using 27Mhz and VHF, including DSC; and an understanding of the operation and controls of typical marine radio equipment; simple maintenance practices; and the regulations applicable to ship radio systems.

ABOUT THE DAY
Includes the course and online exam (single attempt – AMC do not allow multi attempts in a day) Members will need to bring their own laptop / iPad and create a profile ahead of the night To avoid exam disappointment, please be advised there is pre-reading/learning that should be completed ahead of the night
ABOUT THE COURSE
The SROCP qualification allows the operator to operate the VHF marine radiotelephony equipment only. The examination consists of a 25 multi-choice question paper (duration 30 minutes with a 70% pass mark) and a practical component. The practical component may be conducted by either the invigilator or another person nominated by the invigilator.
